About AIStoo

Why we vet every AI wearable we sell

AIStoo started with a simple frustration: the AI wearables market was full of clever hardware wrapped in vague privacy promises. We come from cybersecurity — so we read the fine print for a living.

AIStoo founder — a cybersecurity and privacy specialist.

A founder who reads terms of service for fun

Before AIStoo, our founder spent a decade in cybersecurity and data-privacy consulting — auditing how products handle your data, where it's stored, and who can reach it. When the first wave of AI wearables arrived, the question that wouldn't go away was simple: where does the recording actually go?

Too many devices shipped great hardware with a cloud subscription that quietly trained models on your conversations. We built AIStoo to be the store that answers that question honestly — and stocks the devices that let you keep your data on the device when you want to.

Privacy-first stock

We prefer on-device AI and clear opt-ins over quiet cloud uploads.

Real spec vetting

We check claimed battery, storage, and data paths — not just marketing.

Responsible-use guidance

Recording-capable devices ship with plain-language consent guidance.

How we choose what we sell

  1. 1

    We read the data flow

Where does audio, video, or sensor data go? On-device, cloud, or both? Is cloud opt-in?

  2. 2

    We test the runtime

Battery claims are measured under mixed-use conditions, not best-case demos.

  3. 3

    We check the legal posture

Recording-capable devices get a responsible-use review and clear consent guidance.

  4. 4

    We list it honestly

If a device leans on cloud, we say so — and tell you what the trade-off is.
